Varaždin, 2nd February 2012 – On the session of the Croatian National Bank Council that took place yesterday, Stanko Kežman has been confirmed as the new President of the Management Board (CEO) of Vaba d.d. bank Varaždin, and based on the Decision (proposal) of the Supervisory Board of Vaba d.d. bank related to the appointment of the President of the Management Board.
Namely, The Supervisory Board of Vaba d.d. bank made a decision on the 1st December 2011 to nominate Stanko Kežman as a candidate for the function of the President of the Management Board for a period of 3 years.
Stanko Kežman from Varaždin, has achieved his 20-year work experience by working on responsible managerial positions in economy and banking. He has graduated from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, University of Zagreb, where he gained his profession of a Bachelor of Economics. He started his business career as an apprentice in Varaždinska bank in 1984. Three years later, he is the manager of the Distributive center Levis in Novi Marof. He spends a total of 12 years on management functions in companies that are a part of the Varteks Group, and so he was the Deputy Director of Levis, Director of Varteks-Varteks trgovine d.o.o., Varteks-Vartimpex d.o.o., and he was also the Deputy of CEO of Varteks d.d. in the period from 1996 to 1999. After that he returns to his banking roots and continues his career as Head of a Branch in Privredna bank Zagreb. Soon he transfers to Raiffeisen Austria d.d., where he was the Deputy Head of Branch for 9 years. In 2009 he becomes the Director of Sales Direction in Raiffeisen Factoring d.o.o.
In addition to the above listed economy functions, Stanko Kežman was the President of the Sports Alliance of Varaždin County (1996-1997), member of the Assembly of the Croatian Olympic Committee (1996-1997), President of the Assembly of Sports Associations of the City of Varaždin (2001-2005), member of Rotary Club Varaždin (2004-2009). As a distinguished community worker and sports promoter in the City of Varaždin and Varaždin County, he has been awarded with a Golden plaque of the Assembly of Sports Associations of the City of Varaždin in 2000.
